Wrestler-turned-actor Phil Brooks, a.k.a. CM Punk, has to deal with a troubled marriage and a haunted house in the upcoming horror movie Girl on the Third Floor — and now you can see a bloody new teaser ahead of the world premiere at this year’s SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas.
In the film, Brooks plays Don Koch, a man who is failing as a husband and now views fixing up an old house as a chance to make up for past mistakes. Meanwhile his wife, Liz (Trieste Kelly Dunn), is concerned about the renovation timeline, as they have a baby on the way. As Don tears the house apart, it begins to tear him apart as well.
Girl on the Third Floor marks the writing and directing debut of Travis Stevens, who is best known as the producer of films including Cheap Thrills, Starry Eyes, We Are Still Here, Buster’s Mal Heart, and Jodorowsky’s Dune. The cast also features Elissa Dowling and newcomer Sarah Brooks.
